TAX BREAK PROPOSED TO BRING PERFORMERS TO ATLANTIC CITY

A proposed piece of legislation would allow top level performers to play up to four shows in Atlantic City and those performers wouldn’t have to pay state income tax. The bill is being worked on by Senate Minority Leader Tom Kean Jr. It would only apply to qualifying performers, based on an unannounced criteria. The measure would attempt to bring in better acts who might choose Atlantic City because of the extra income they would keep.
