The Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort officially closed its doors for good Monday morning at 6 a.m., as employees locked the doors and began to secure them with pieces of wood. A few striking casino workers from Unite Here Local 54 were still on the picket line and making some noise as the doors were shuttered. Now more that 2,800 employees are out of work at the city’s fifth casino to close since 2014.
