Toxicology reports have not been finalized but authorities have issued a warning about the possibility of a fatal batch of heroin in South Jersey. A man found dead last week in Barnegat Township with bags used for heroin, could be linked to seven other deaths in Ocean County between April 12 and 19. The state Attorney General’s Office says the deaths are believed to be linked to four brands of heroin sold in Atlantic City. Authorities are concerned that the heroin is either tainted or more potent than usual.
