SZCZUR SLAMS FIRST HOME RUN IN THE MAJORS

Lower Cape May Regional High School graduate Matt Szczur has hit his first home run in the major leagues.  Szczur connected with a solo home run in the eighth inning of a game Saturday night off Pittsburgh pitcher Justin Wilson.  Szczur added a double in the game as the Cubs beat the Pirates, 6-4.  Szczur has played in 23 games for the cubs and is hitting .262.
