SWIMMER MISSING OFF HEREFORD INLET

The search continues Tuesday afternoon for a swimmer who was observed in distress at about 7 a.m.  off Hereford Inlet in North Wildwood. Two North Wildwood police officers attempted to rescue the man but were unsuccessful. The missing swimmer is described as a white 40 year-old male with brown hair. The U.S. Coast Guard is assisting in the search with the North Wildwood Beach Patrol, Fire Department and State Marine Police.
