Senate President Steve Sweeney is calling on Governor Phil Murphy to reopen as many businesses as possible before Memorial Day weekend. Sweeney told the Star Ledger that Murphy has done a good job managing the crisis, but there are businesses that could be opened safely before the holiday. Murphy says social distancing is the only measure that has worked to flatten the curve.
