Senate President Steve Sweeney has threatened state lawmakers if they don’t show up, then State Police will be sent after them. An Oct. 22 voting session has been set up and any senators that no show will have State Police sent to find them. Only two GOP lawmakers showed up the last time that the veto override vote was supposed to take place. Gov. Chris Christie said that Sweeney was “grandstanding” as he tries to prepare for a run at higher office.
