Senate President Steve Sweeney is taking a stand against Gov. Chris Christie. Sweeney has said he will not allow any pension reform bills to be heard in the full Senate until the state makes at least its minimum payment into the system. Christie has planned to outline changes he wants to make to current employees regarding pensions during a town hall meeting today. Sweeney said if everyone is sharing the burden, the state needs to do its part too. There is a $46 billion gap in the pension fund.
