Senate President Steve Sweeney is supporting fellow democrat Phil Murphy for governor. Sweeney announced on Thursday that he is supporting Murphy after Sweeney himself thought about a gubernatorial run but decided against it. Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto has also endorsed Murphy.
