That big power outage in parts of Swainton Thursday night? It was caused by a single vehicle motor vehicle accident. Middle Township Police say a vehicle driven by 24 year old Dana Bezaire of North Cape May ran off Swainton-Goshen Road shortly after 11pm Thursday and hit a utility pole. The accident caused a widespread power outage in Swainton late Thursday night into Friday morning. Bezaire was charged with driving while intoxicated and careless driving.
