SUSPENDED POLICE OFFICER INDICTED IN ASSAULT

An indictment was handed down in a police on police violence case. An Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted a suspended Philadelphia Police Officer in connection with assaulting an Atlantic City Police Officer at a casino in March. Aisha Pleasant, 36, a three-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department, was arrested at the Pier in Caesar’s Casino back in March. Pleasant was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, obstructing the administration of law and trespassing. Bail was set at $15,000.
