Atlantic City Electric is making progress in restoring power to over 200,000 customers who lost power during Saturday morning’s major thunderstorm. Utility officials say more than half of the customers who lost power in the storm have their power back, and it will still take a couple of days to bring everyone online. The utility is using more than 180 resources including linemen, tree crews, call center staff and other personnel to get the power back on. Winds in excess of 70 miles per hour toppled trees into power lines resulting in massive outages in Atlantic and Cumberland counties.
