STUDY: STATE TEACHERS GETTING TWO PERCENT RAISE ON AVERAGE

The typical raise for a teacher in New Jersey dropped this year. The New Jersey School Boards Association said the average raise came in at about two percent. The data complied includes 21 contracts that were settled since April 1. The state has also mandated health benefits changes, which could mean many teachers won’t see any net increase.
