It sounds crazy, but New Jersey just now has a law on the books that says a student who dies after borrowing money for education no longer has to pay the loan back. Governor Christie signed the bill into law on Monday. One woman told lawmakers this summer that she continued to make payments on a student loan for her son who was murdered.
