STRIKING CASINO WORKERS TO SUPPORT UNEMPLOYMENT BILL

On Monday Unite Here Local 54 members will be in Trenton in support of legislation to extend unemployment benefits to striking workers. More than 100 union members from the Trump Taj Mahal will be holding a press conference from the State House to announce their support for a bill that would allow workers to collect unemployment benefits after 30 days on strike. More than 1,000 casino workers have been on the picket line at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City since July 1st.
