STORMS ROCK JERSEY CAPE DURING OVERNIGHT HOURS

Chances are you didn’t get a restful night of sleep last night.  A severe line of thunderstorms shook most of Cape May County during the overnight hours into Friday morning.  Cloud to ground lightning strikes were reported throughout the county, especially in the northern part of the county until around 5:00am today.  The National Weather Service has a Flash Flood Watch in effect for today.  Even though there will be some partly sunny skies early in the day, thunderstorms could redevelop later in the day causing a large amount of rain in a short period of time.
