Could another local community opt out of the library system? Some residents in Stone Harbor think the option should be considered. Cape May County Freeholder Susan Sheppard gave a presentation at the council meeting in Stone Harbor to talk about the positives of staying in the system. Stone Harbor would be paying less off the bat by staying in the county system and would have a $6 million library built for them. A review period is on-going in the borough regarding the best options for their involvement in the library system. The borough can’t pull out without the vote going to a referendum first.
