Stone Harbor’s Council meets Tuesday afternoon and may authorize a multi-million dollar contract to a company to perform back bay dredging in the community. The contract has drawn the attention of some residents who live along 80th Street in Avalon since the project calls for the dewatering of dredge materials in a parking lot Stone Harbor owns across the street from their homes. Council may also authorize Mayor Suzanne Walters to sign a permit granted by the United States Army Corps of Engineers for the dredging project.
