New building regulations may be coming to Stone Harbor on the heels of new FEMA maps that were recently released. The Borough Council introduced a new ordinance that would add an extra foot of freeboard to new construction in the Borough. The new regulations would keep a uniform look to Stone Harbor while helping the community save money on flood insurance through the Community Rating System. Final adoption of the new ordinance could occur on October 15th.
