STOCKTON MOVING AHEAD WITH PLANS FOR ATLANTIC CITY CAMPUS

On Wednesday the Atlantic City Council introduced a modified redevelopment plan authorizing Stockton University to move ahead with its Island Campus. The plan is the first official permit for an institution of higher learning to operate within city limits. Last year, Stockton purchased the former Showboat Casino, along with two parcels of land to be used for parking facilities. The plan also permits noneducational activities to operate on Stockton’s property, including restaurants, retail businesses and hotels.
