On Monday the Northeast Shore and Beach Preservation Association kicked off a three-day conference at Stockton College, on shore town resiliency and how to prepare for, and bounce back from future storms. The conference brought together experts to cover a variety of topics, including what was learned during Hurricane Sandy. The conference has assembled fifty experts to present ideas on shoreline protection to federal, state, and local officials. They will discuss such topics as how to increase coastal resiliency and reduce vulnerability for populations of people living near the ocean.
