It’s been two months since the Pleasantville School Board approved the hiring of Clarence Alston as their superintendent but the process has yet to be finalized. The Press of Atlantic City reports that state monitor Constance Bauer says no progress has been made to officially finalize the approval and complete the vetting process. In the meantime, Assistant Superintendent Garnell Bailey is the interim superintendent and has been approved to continue in that role through Nov. 30th.
