A man trying to steal copper piping fell down an elevator shaft. Egg Harbor Township Police responded to the vacant Atlantic City Electric building at Fire Road and the Black Horse Pike on Thursday. William Leadbetter had fallen down an interior shaft and had suffered serious injuries. Oliver Leadbetter and Johnathan Leadbetter, from Tucketon, were charged with burglary, criminal trespass and conspiracy. Bail was set at $10,000.
