The Cape May County Advisory Commission on the Status of Women will host the 10th Annual Women’s Conference and Breakfast on Saturday, March 26, 2011. The public is invited to attend the conference which will take place from 9 a.m. until Noon at the Wildwood Golf and Country Club located at 1170 Golf Club Road in Cape May Court House.
This year’s conference: “Leadership Roles for Women…Looking Back…Looking Forward…It all began with Alice Paul” will include a panel discussion on the Leadership roles for women in 2011. The panel will include distinguished women in the fields of business, education, the military and politics.
Additionally this year, there will be a one woman play, “Alice Who? Alice Paul? performed by A. Taylor Williams of the American Historical Theatre. The play is presented jointly by the American Association of University Women of Cape May County, The Women’s Commission, Cape Women’s Resource Fund and the League of Women Voters of Cape May County. The play will highlight Alice Paul, the American scholar, suffragist, lawyer and activist.
