Acting Governor Steve Sweeney has issued a statewide state of emergency. In this decree, Sweeney said it is important that emergency personnel be allowed to do their job and for people to stay off the roads. Dangerous snow conditions exist in the state with predicitions of snow anywhere from 12 to 20 inches.
