STATE’S UNEMPLOYMENT RATE UP TO 9.9 PERCENT

Unemployment numbers inched up one once again in New Jersey. The state is now at 9.9 percent unemployment. The early numbers on August showed the state added 5,300 jobs. The state has added jobs in 10 of the last 12 months. The higher unemployment rate number suggests more people who had given up are now looking for work in the state.
