STATE’S ELDERLY CAN EXPECT LESS MONEY NEXT MONTH

Those older people receiving Supplemental Security Income will be seeing less money in Jan. The state has made a cut to their payment. The average cut per person is $209 monthly. It is estimated that 170,520 people are receiving this benefit in New Jersey during the current fiscal year. The program is made up of part federal and part state money to help elderly people have enough money to pay essential bills.
