STATE: WE NEED TO HUNT AND KILL MORE BEARS

New Jersey has the highest black bear population than any place in North America.  So says the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife, who says additional black bears need to be killed in the northern part of the state to thin out the numbers.  The black bear hunt ended over the weekend in New Jersey.  Over 225 bears were killed during this latest hunt but the state says the numbers still need to come down.
