STATE: UPCOMING DUNE PROJECT IN ATLANTIC COUNTY IS “VITAL”

State officials are calling the upcoming beach and dune project in a portion of Atlantic County “vital” to the protection of lives and property.  New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Bob Martin says the upcoming project in Margate, Ventnor, and Longport will protect infrastructure, and will help make the economy of the shore more resilient.  A group of Margate residents are still attempting to block the upcoming project to be conducted by Weeks Marine.
