STATE TO SNATCH UN– USED MONEY FROM LOCAL TOWNS

Local towns throughout the state of New Jersey will soon have state money taken away from them. Acting Community Affairs Commissioner Richard Constable testified in Trenton Monday and announced that the state will reclaim unused affordable housing funding given to local towns by July, 2012. Former Governor Jon Corzine signed a law that gave towns four years to use the money, or lose it. This July, they lose it.
