STATE SUPREME COURT: MENENDEZ CAN'T BE RECALLED

The state’s highest court said a recall effort against United States Senator Robert Menendez can’t go forward. A tea party group had organized the recall effort. Previously, they won the right to recall in an appellate court, but this 4-2 ruling reverses that decision. The supreme court said that the federal constitution does not give states the right to recall federal officials. The recall committee said the would appeal the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court.
