STATE STOPS TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR SOLAR REBATE PROGRAM

The state is taking a break on receiving applications for a solar rebate program for homeowners. A surge in applications has taken place and the state will not take new applications until September. The state’s Board of Public Utilities made the announcement on Tuesday. As of a few years ago, New Jersey was the second-highest state in the country in terms of homes with solar technology. Money was running low and the decision was made to halt the program.
