STATE SEEKING REHEARING ON SPORTS BETTING RULING

Gov. Chris Christie is going to continue his legal case to make sports betting legal in New Jersey. The state has asked for a rehearing with the Third Circuit in which all of the justices would hear the case and not just a three judge panel. The panel went 2-1 against New Jersey. An attorney for Monmouth Park Racetrack, who is involved with trying to get it legalized, said the track could close if sports betting isn’t approved.
