STATE SAVES $22 MILLION WITH BENEFITS REFORMS

The savings, $22 million.  That’s how much money the state of New Jersey will save as it pays less for employees’ benefits.  The Christie administration announced that the state will save $22 million dollars thanks to new regulations that make public employees pay more money for the benefits they receive.  Last year, Governor Chris Christie made no payments into the fund.  Local governments will also save over $40 million annually.
