STATE POLICE AMONG THOSE USING “E-TICKETING”

An electronic system is being adopted by some police departments that allows for the electric printing of tickets in a police vehicle. The State Police are among those using these new systems. According to a report by the Star-Ledger, the new systems cut stop times in half and allow driver’s licenses to be scanned to look for any additional infractions. The report says that the systems cost about $2,000 per vehicle.
