STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED FOR ATLANTIC AND CAPE MAY COUNTIES

Ahead of the worst of the storm for Tropical Storm Hermine, a State of Emergency has been declared in Cape May and Atlantic counties. Gov. Chris Christie declared the State of Emergency for three counties in total, including Ocean County. These declarations help the government respond in a quicker manner during a storm event. Shore areas in South Jersey are at the most danger due to the storm due to flooding concerns.
