The state of New Jersey will now change the laws regarding the number of riders in each ferris wheel vehicle. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the state will now require two riders to be in every ferris wheel vehicle in an effort to avoid a repeat of the tragedy that killed a girl from Pleasantville in Wildwood. 11 year old Abiah Jones was riding alone in a ferris wheel vehicle in Wildwood when she fell to her death on June 3rd. Authorities say there was no mechanical malfunction on the ride, which is still shut down. Jones was riding alone on the ride when she fell to the ground below.
