How old should a student be before he or she drops out of high school? That age could be upped by two years. An Assembly committee met on Thursday and approved a new law in New Jersey that would raise the minimum dropout age from 16 years old to 18. The Assembly Education Committee approved the new dropout age requirement just one week after President Obama called for every state to change their dropout age limit on week ago. Democrats on the committee are for it, republicans against it.
