A pair of assemblymen are looking to get a resolution passed that would ask Congress to give more power to state’s regarding federal law. Almost a dozen states have passed a similar resolution that calls for the state to be able to bypass a federal law as long as the state have a two-thirds majority of the state legislature. The two Republican assembly members believe its gives the state a say in checks and balances.
