STATE JOBLESS RATE LOWEST IN SIX YEARS

New Jersey’s unemployment rate is the lowest its been in six years.  New figures released on Thursday put the state’s unemployment rate at 6.4 percent.  Nearly 6,700 jobs were added in the private sector which lowered the unemployment rate to figures it has not seen since October, 2008.  Many of the new jobs added are in construction.
