STATE HAS NEW RULES FOR BEACH ACCESS

Avalon successfully challenged the state’s beach access rules a few years ago, now the state has a whole new set of rules for the public.  The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection released a new set of beach access rules that the department says will improve and enhance the public’s ability to use beaches.  State residents will have the chance to offer public testimony regarding the new rules at two public hearings, or can issue their comments electronically until the middle of May.
