New Jersey’s average gas price was down 97 cents versus Memorial Day in 2014. AAA Mid-Atlantic reported the average price heading into this holiday weekend came in at $2.53 per gallon. AAA also predicted an increase in travel as a result of the lower gas prices. According to the agency, it would be the most heavily traveled Memorial Day in 10 years.
