If the new state budget is approved, the new Cumberland County Technical Education Center could be getting an additional $503,000 for their new technical high school that is scheduled to open in September. Senator Jeff Van Drew lobbied for the increase in funding, as the Cumberland vocational district was transitioning from shared-time to full-time status with the new facility. The schools $11.3 million 2016-17 budget does not include the proposed state aid and cuts back on staffing and supplies.
