STATE BEGINS TO REPLACE SPAN OF PARKWAY BRIDGE ENTERING CAPE MAY COUNTY

Work has begun on a new span of the Garden State Parkway bridge over Great Egg Harbor. Test pilings have been placed to begin work on the southbound span replacement. The work is scheduled to include a bike path connecting Atlantic and Cape May counties, and include wide shoulders that could accommodate a third lane in the event of an evacuation.
