New Jersey may be another $10.5 billion in the hole next year. The Assembly Budget Committee will meet this Thursday and is expected to hear testimony about a big budget deficit that is very possible in 2011. Some lawmakers believe the state could be facing a $10.5 billion debt next year. Democrats in New Jersey say the debt is real; Governor Chris Christie, who’s on a two-week vacation, says some pension fund payments may not be met. The committee will meet Thursday morning.
