STATE ANNOUNCES NEW TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PLAN

$3.5 billion.  That’s how much money the Christie administration plans on putting into various transportation projects in the Garden State.  The New Jersey Department of Transportation unveiled a new budget that reflects year one of a five year plan by Governor Chris Christie to rebuild the state’s transportation infrastructure.  Among the improvements…a $1.1 billion investment into the state’s bridges, and local aid being maintained at $420 million.
