STATE ADDS 4,700 JOBS LAST MONTH IN NEW JOBS REPORT

It was a solid month of job growth in Sept., according to new numbers by the state. New Jersey added 4,700 jobs last month and the unemployment rate is now down to 5.6 percent. Private sector growth came in at 3,400 jobs. New Jersey still trails the national average of a 5.1 percent jobless rate. New Jersey has added 39,600 jobs from one year ago.
