STATE ADDED OVER 10K JOBS IN MAY

It was another solid month of job growth for New Jersey in May. The state added over 10,000 jobs in total, despite losing 2,100 public sector jobs. Education and health services led the way in gains with 2,700 jobs added. The unemployment rate did not change despite the good news. The state’s jobless rate is at 6.5 percent .
