START OF MENENDEZ TRIAL COULD BE PUSHED BACK UP TO A YEAR

The corruption trial involving U.S. Senator Robert Menendez could start up to a year after originally planned to start. The trial was going to begin next month but a judge allowed the extra time for appeals of motions to be heard. Menendez was indicited on April 1 for charges that he acted inapporiately to help his friend and campaign donor Dr. Salomon Melgen.
