Absecon Police say they made an arrest in a stabbing. Investigation determined that a 44 year old male suspect stabbed his 65 year old mother as she was sleeping in her bed. The victim suffered non-life threatening moderate wounds and was transported to AtlantiCare hospital. The unidentified suspect was charged with 2nd degree Aggravated Assault, 3rd degree Possession of a Weapon and 3rd degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. He was lodged in Atlantic County Justice Facility on $75,000 full cash bail.
